Twinsburg High School Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement Testing:

Twinsburg High School offers students 18 Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Each AP class prepares participating students for an exam that measures their mastery of the course. Students are scored on a 1-5 scale and 90% of colleges offer credit, advanced placement, or both for qualifying scores (usually 3 or higher). Please see the information below for the most up to date AP news at THS.

REGISTERING FOR THE EXAM:

Just like last year College Board will utilize the AP classroom as a resource for students. Students create a College Board account, and then register for their class with a join code provided by their classroom teacher. This digital tool provides daily support for the AP classroom including an online bank of real AP practice questions, progress checks, and links to instructional resources on AP’s Youtube channel.

Once students have registered for their AP Classroom using the join code, they are on the roster and an exam will be ordered for them. They do not need to complete another step to order their exam. Students will complete this step using the instructions in the video below, and teachers will provide them with join codes for their individual classes.

AP EXAM FEES:

TBD

If students do not pay for their exam by the April 1st deadline they will not be able to sit for the exam. This will also negatively impact their AP class grade, as students must sit for the AP Exam in order to pass their class.
