The Twinsburg City School District, as a part of the Alliance for High Quality Education, publishes an annual Quality Profile. This profile helps characterize the overall educational value of the Twinsburg City School District.

The Quality Profile includes important information about the ways in which we invest each and every day in our approximate 4,000 students. The Quality Profile is an accountability report designed to give our community members a transparent view of our District and provides insight into the overall educational experiences our students receive.

District Information and Profile

Twinsburg's school community is a suburban, residential area located 20 miles southeast of Cleveland and 20 miles northeast of Akron. Residents are from a broad range of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. The community has a strong, light industrial tax base and a very progressive government. The community is comprised of three separately governed jurisdictions: The City of Reminderville, Twinsburg Township and the City of Twinsburg.

 
Twinsburg City School District is a large suburban school district comprised of five schools, from primary school through high school, with a central administrative building. The District is the fifth largest employer in Twinsburg with more than 500 employees and supports approximately 4,000 students.  
 
Twinsburg High School - Grades 9-12
Built in 1999; L-Pod build out and open Fall 2006
 
R. B. Chamberlin Middle School - Grades 7 and 8
Built as High School in 1957; cafeteria, gym/industrial arts wing added in 1959; Junior High, library and art wing added in 1960; first floor science wing added 1986; cafeteria renovation 1989; second floor to science wing 1992; renovated to Middle School 1999
 
Dodge Intermediate School – Grades 4-6
Built as a Junior High in 1970; gymnasium added in 1979; 12 classrooms added in 1984; renovated to Intermediate School in 1999.  
 
Bissell Elementary School - Grades 2 and 3
Built in 1964; classrooms doubled in 1992
 
Wilcox Primary - Grades PK, K and 1
Built in 1959; classrooms doubled in 1992
 
Students who attend the Twinsburg City School District are provided an excellent educational program which prepares them for success as they graduate from Twinsburg High School and begin college or a career. The District is committed to providing our students with a wide range of programs and services which not only meet their needs, but also challenge them to excel. Twenty-first (21st) century skills including the use of instructional technology to enhance learning are integrated in our curriculum.
 
The Twinsburg City School District utilizes Ohio’s Learning Standards and Ohio's Social Emotional Learning Standards. These standards will ensure that teachers teach and students learn the knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow including communication skills, perseverance in problem solving, technical reading and writing, literacy across disciplines and the most important mathematical skills.  
 
In addition to classroom studies, students are encouraged to participate in community service, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Through these types of activities, students learn specific skills while also developing responsibility and sportsmanship. Individual students as well as student groups have received state and national recognition in the areas of fine arts, band, orchestra, the RBC Singers, Blue Harmony and the Great Expectations Show Choir. As members of the Suburban League, our student athletes continue to win numerous league championships and compete successfully at state competitions.
 
The Twinsburg City School District is grateful for the ongoing support of our community. Parents and community members are partners with the school, staff, Athletic, Band, Orchestra and Vocal Music Boosters, our Parent Teacher Associations (PTA’s) and the Twinsburg Schools Foundation who offer ongoing support and encouragement to our students. Residents of Twinsburg, Twinsburg Township and Reminderville value the Twinsburg City School District and the excellent opportunities provided to our students.
