Reminder to Update Your Student's Bus Schedule if Needed

Since last school year ended:  Has your student's daycare provider changed?  Is your student no longer going to a daycare?  Are you no longer transporting your student and need bus service?  Does your student no longer need bus service?  Parents are reminded to request any changes for the upcoming school year by completing the Online Transportation Form by Thursday, August 1, 2024.  Bus letters will be mailed Wednesday, August 7, 2024.  Requests received after this date will not be processed until after the first full two weeks of school.  Requests needing immediate attention will be reviewed on a case by case basis.  See the Bus Service & Online Transportation Form Information Page for more details.

 If you are moving this summer, please see the Address Change article for more information on changing your address before the school year starts.

District buses for Pre-School through 12th grade will be running during the soft opening, August 14-16, 2024.  They will run their complete routes.  Your student(s) should ride only on the day they are to attend school that week.  

All High School students first full day is TBD.  

All Middle School students first full day is TBD.  

All Pre-School through 12th grade students first full day is Monday, August 19th.

Address Changes

 I'm Moving and Need to Change my Student's Bus Stop

To avoid bus delays at the start of the school year, please change your address with the school as soon as you have moved.  Changes done less than two weeks prior to the first day of school cannot be guaranteed bus transportation for the new address.  See article for more information.

When to stop for a school bus

On a road with fewer than four lanes:
On a road with fewer than four lanes, all traffic approaching a stopped school bus from either direction must stop at least 10 feet from the front or rear of the bus and remain stopped until the bus begins to move or the bus driver signals motorists to proceed.

On a road with four or more lanes:If the bus is stopped on a street with four or more lanes, ONLY traffic proceeding in the SAME  direction as the bus must stop.
  • Never pass a school bus on the right
  • All school busses MUST stop before crossing railroad tracks, never pass a bus at a railroad crossing
  • Be aware of school zone signals and always obey the posted speed limits
Failure to stop for a school bus adds 2 points to your license in Ohio and is punishable by fines up to $500.  You must appear in court and the judge has the discretion to suspend your driver’s license for up to one year.
