Tina Davis, President

Current Term of Office: January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2021
 
“In my experience as an educator and an involved parent, I have observed what makes the Twinsburg City School District such a great place for our children to be educated. I am honored and grateful that my colleagues have chosen me as their Board President for 2021, and I will do my best to serve the Twinsburg City School District,” said Davis.
 
Mrs. Davis is a 20 year resident of Twinsburg and has been a board member since 2014. A former teacher, she received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Akron, has been an active volunteer in her church, the schools, and the community, and remains dedicated to advocating for the students of Twinsburg. Tina is currently employed as a Patient Service Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic. Some things Tina enjoys in her spare time are spending time with her family, cooking, and nature photography. Married, she and her husband Brian have three children - A 2019 graduate, a senior, and a middle schooler.


 
Mark Curtis, Vice-President 

Current Term of Office: January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2023

“I’m extremely fortunate to be able to serve our community as a member of the Twinsburg Board of Education. I remain committed to doing my level best in ensuring all students have access to a 21st century education allowing them to be successful.”
 
Mr. Curtis has been a resident of Twinsburg since 2004. Mark has over 28+ years of experience in higher education and public education. He is currently Director of Data and Technology at a local school district. He is also a member of the Ohio Department of Education’s School Improvement Diagnostic Team. Mr. Curtis has previously also served as Twinsburg City School District’s representative on the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center Board of Education. Mr. Curtis serves as a member of the Ohio School Boards Association’s newly formed Diversity Equity Committee and is also the Board’s Legislative Liaison.  Mr. Curtis received his BA from Otterbein University and his MA from Hiram College. Married, he and his wife Dianne, have a daughter who is a 2012 Twinsburg graduate and a son who attends Twinsburg High School.

Current Term of Office: January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2021
 
“I have a passion for education and doing what is best for our students. I believe in promoting positive relationships between students , teachers and administration of our district . I believe not only in academic achievement but also the growth of our students. Growth that includes social and emotional learning.” 
 
Mrs. DeFabio has lived in the Twinsburg City School district for 14 years and  resides with her husband and two daughters in Twinsburg Township.  She has 20+ years serving as a Vascular Specialist/ Clinical Instructor and is currently employed with University Hospitals of Cleveland. When not taking care of patients , Mrs DeFabio and her husband  are helping people sell and and buy their dream home. Mr. And Mrs DeFabio are Real estate agents with Keller Williams Greater Cleveland Southeast  and together they make up the DeFabulous Team .
 
When not working she  finds comfort being with her family giving back to the community and schools by volunteering for various events. As a newly elected board member, Mrs. DeFabio looks forward to working with the current members continuing to strive for excellence and to improve our schools and community.

Current Term of Office: January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2021
 
“I am excited about my second four-year term on the Twinsburg School Board. I have served as board president in 2016 and 2019. I was also honored to have served as Vice President in 2015 and 2018. I joined the board in 2014. I have served on the Curriculum & Technology and Buildings & Grounds Committees and currently serve on the Business Advisory, Finance, and Policy committees.
 
My goal is to continue to govern with a focus on providing the best academic, athletic, and extra-curricular activities for all students. Everything we do is about the kids and their futures."


Mr. Felber is a 26-year resident of Twinsburg. He is the President of Felber Public Relations and Marketing in Twinsburg. Mr. Felber has served as a firefighter/paramedic with the City of Pepper Pike since 1983. He has also served as the Public Information Officer for the Hillcrest Technical Rescue Team and was a member of the team for 28 years. Mr. Felber received his BS in Education from Kent State University. In January of 2021, Mr. Felber was elected vice president with the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) school board and is starting his second year of a three-year term as a member of the board of education at CVCC.
 
In July of 2020, Mr. Felber became Chair of the Board at the John Carroll University Entrepreneurs Association, of which he has been a member since 2005. Married, he and his wife Sheryl, have twin daughters that were 2018 graduates of Twinsburg High School.
 
Adrienne Gordon, Member

Current Term of Office: January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2023
 
“I strongly believe that a quality education is a basic human right and passionately wish to make sure that it is available for all children. I believe that every child is born with their own genius and their childhood experiences are the foundation to making that genius come alive. I am grateful to be able to work with Twinsburg City Schools to ensure this reality is available to every child that resides in our district.”

Mrs. Gordon has been a resident in the district for 17 years. She currently resides in the township with her two children and husband. After navigating challenges in both special education and gifted education for the last 13 years, she decided to share her experiences and learnings with younger families in hopes that all have the best possible experiences in the school district.

Mrs. Gordon is the CEO and Co-Founder of the Management Strategy Consulting firm Pricing Empowered LLC, specializing in helping mid and large sized organizations across the global identify and maximize the return on their value.

She holds a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and a MBA in Marketing, along with post graduate studies in both Economics and Finance, from Western New England University.

Welcome to the Board of Education page of the Twinsburg City School District website. We encourage all of those living and/or working in our educational community to take an interest in the work of the Board of Education. We invite you to join us at our meetings or to call or email us with any ideas, questions, or concerns.

The Board of Education is your elected representative body and is responsible to the residents of the Twinsburg City School District. The functions of the Board are:
  • To serve as a policy-making body.
  • To appoint a Superintendent of Schools to provide leadership to the administrative team working within the limits of Board policy and state statutes.
  • To appoint a Treasurer.
  • To consider, approve, or reject policies recommended by the Superintendent.
  • To approve educational standards and goals.
  • To approve the appointment of teachers and other staff members.
  • To approve the annual budget for each fiscal year.
  • To approve a master calendar annually.
  • To evaluate the Superintendent and Treasurer on a regular and routine basis.
  • To serve as the chief advisor to the Superintendent on community attitudes.

During the first meeting in January the Board organizes itself by electing officers, filling committee memberships and appointing members to act as delegates and liaisons to Ohio School Board functions and the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.
