The following consequences will be…

1. Verbal Warning. Time to correct behavior.

2. Student seat moved within the classroom to appropriate spot for successful learning or removed from classroom for a short break.

3. Reflective writing assignment about behavior during detention or intervention.

4. Contact home.

5. Notify administration.

 
 
Overall, students will be graded on…

-Art Studio Projects (see below for general rubric)

(Total amount of points will vary depending on the scale of the project and weeks long to complete. Longer projects might be graded in small sub grades, rather than one large grade.)

-Assignments

(Extra activities such as note taking, sketches, brainstorms, etc.)

-Assessments

(Reviewing content objectives throughout the lesson, which will be in a form of a small 5 point quiz added into the final project grade or a large post assessment counting as a separate grade.)

-Homework

(Bringing in pictures, extra art materials, research, Google Classroom activities, etc. Usually graded for completion.)

-Daily Grades

 (Students are assessed by their participation everyday in art class to insure their progress. A daily grade of 5 points are automatically given in art class. If a student does not succeed in the following things, points will be taken off. The following is assessed: Is the student... Prepared with art materials? Putting away materials correctly? Respected others and art materials? Cleaning their workspace? Participating in art room discussions? Keeping an indoor voice (not distracting others?) Staying focused on their work during studio time? Keeping hands to themselves? Being a team player?)
