Meet the Board

Rob Felber, President

Term of office: January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2017

"I am honored to serve as a board member and President of the Board of Education. My goal is to govern with a focus on providing the best academic, athletic and extra-curricular activities for all students. Everything we do is about the kids and their futures."

Mr. Felber is a 21-year resident of Twinsburg. Rob is the President of Felber Public Relations and Marketing and a principal with NEXT For Nonprofits, LLC. Rob is also the Public Information Officer for the Hillcrest Technical Rescue Team where he also serves as a firefighter and paramedic with the City of Pepper Pike. Mr. Felber received his BS in Education from Kent State University. Married, he and his wife Sheryl, have twin daughters.
Mark Curtis, Vice President

Term of office: January 1, 2016 – December 31, 2019
“As we look ahead, it will be essential for the board to continue to work collaboratively with the Superintendent and District Administration to position the district for long term success. My personal goal is to work together to maintain the tradition of high academic achievement for all students and to provide the resources necessary to achieve this. I look forward to working together with our community partners as we experience demographic and economic growth.”

Mr. Curtis is a twelve year resident of Twinsburg. Mark has over 24 years of experience in higher education and public education. He is currently employed by the Educational Service Center of Cuyahoga County and a member of the Ohio Department of Education's School Improvement Diagnostic Team. In addition to serving on the Twinsburg Board of Education, Mr. Curtis is one of the Twinsburg City School District’s representatives on the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center Board of Education and currently serves as CVCC Board President. Mr. Curtis received his BA from Otterbein University and his MA from Hiram College. Married, he and his wife Dianne, have a daughter who is a 2012 Twinsburg graduate and a son who attends R.B. Chamberlin Middle School.
Matt Cellura, Member

Term of office: January 1, 2016 – December 31, 2019

“As a board member, I am committed to working together and will use my business and financial background to support the Twinsburg City School District to continue the tradition of excellence residents have come to expect. I look forward to strengthening our relationships with the residents and community businesses as we work together to seek solutions to funding shortfalls and our aging infrastructure.”
Mr. Cellura is a ten year resident of Twinsburg. Matt is the owner M & G Pools and was an Army Non-Commissioned Officer and Combat Veteran. Mr. Cellura attended The Ohio State University. Married, he and his wife Gretchen, have three children.
Tina Davis, Member

Term of office: January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2017

"In my experience as an educator and an involved parent, I have observed what makes Twinsburg Schools such a great place for our children to be educated. I am excited to begin this new chapter in the Twinsburg City School District as a newly elected Board Member," said Davis.

Mrs. Davis is a thirteen year resident of Twinsburg. A former teacher, Tina is currently employed as an Administrative Assistant to the Mayor for the Village of Glenwillow. Married, she and her husband Brian, have three children.
Kathy Turle-Waldron, Member

Term of office: January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2017
Mrs. Kathy Turle-Waldron is a lifelong resident of Twinsburg and a graduate of the Twinsburg City School District. Kathy is the owner of Turle’s Gymnastics located in Twinsburg. Ms. Turle-Waldron attended The Ohio State University. Married, she and her husband Chris, have three children.
Functions of the Board
Welcome to the Board of Education page of the Twinsburg City School District website. We encourage all of those living and/or working in our educational community to take an interest in the work of the Board of Education. We invite you to join us at our meetings or to call or email us with any ideas, questions, or concerns.

The Board of Education is your elected representative body and is responsible to the residents of the Twinsburg City School District. The functions of the Board are:
  • To serve as a policy-making body.
  • To appoint a Superintendent of Schools to provide leadership to the administrative team working within the limits of Board policy and state statutes.
  • To appoint a Treasurer.
  • To consider, approve, or reject policies recommended by the Superintendent.
  • To approve educational standards and goals.
  • To approve the appointment of teachers and other staff members.
  • To approve the annual budget for each fiscal year.
  • To approve a master calendar annually.
  • To evaluate the Superintendent and Treasurer on a regular and routine basis.
  • To serve as the chief advisor to the Superintendent on community attitudes.

During the first meeting in January the Board organizes itself by electing officers, filling committee memberships and appointing members to act as delegates and liaisons to Ohio School Board functions and the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.
