R. B. Chamberlin Middle School was built in 1957. It was originally built as the High School.

In 1959 the cafeteria, gymnasium and industrial arts wing were added. In 1960 the Junior High, library and arts wing were added. In 1986 the first floor science wing was added and in 1989 the cafeteria was renovated. The second floor of the science wing was added in 1992.

In 1999 Chamberlin was renovated into the middle school as a result of the new high school being complete.
