SCHOLARSHIP/FINANCIAL AID RESOURCES
-
All students/families should fill out the FAFSA (even if you don’t think you’ll qualify for grants) as soon as possible after it becomes available. You need to fill out the FAFSA to be eligible for federal financial aid but also, some schools require you to have a FAFSA on file just to receive their scholarships. Also, you never know when your financial situation may change between now and when you start college. It is best to have this application on file just in case.
When it becomes available go to webpage here.
If you need assistance or would like someone to fill it out with you, you can register for any of the FAFSA Help Ohio events. Information is available at this webpage here.

Merit scholarships are often related to academic performance, but can also be given to a candidate displaying artistic or athletic excellence, or even a combination of both. While all academic scholarships are merit scholarships, not all merit scholarships are academic scholarships. Often all you have to do is apply to the school to be considered for merit scholarships to attend that school. You’ll automatically be considered (typically GPA, test scores on ACT/SAT, and/or class rank) once you submit your college application. However, some schools do require an additional application. Do your research to find out and also be mindful of deadlines!

Congratulations to all 2026 scholarship winners, and thank you to our local sponsors for your continued support!

Students may also find it valuable to research any private scholarships that may be available to them through organizations/agencies that they or their parents are members of. The websites listed below can also be valuable tools for searching for private scholarships that they may be eligible for. Students should follow all directions and deadlines to apply for each scholarship that they find offered privately outside of schools.
