Twinsburg High School Girls' Hoops Team Welcomes New Coaching Staff
The Twinsburg High School Girls' Basketball Team will have a new look beginning with the 2021-2022 campaign. The District has announced the hiring of three new coaches to lead the program. Chris Esterak has been hired as the Varsity Head Coach, Denyse Williams-Millbert as the Varsity Assistant Coach and Abbe Esterak will serve as the Junior Varsity Coach.

"I couldn't be more pleased with the experience and energy level of our new coaching staff in the girls' basketball program," said Twinsburg Athletic Director and Coordinator of K-12 Student Activities Brian Fantone. "I'm looking forward to seeing the coaches put in the hard work and effort, building relationships with our student-athletes, that will get our program back to the level we all know it can be."

Esterak comes to Twinsburg after spending the past two seasons as the Head Varsity Girls’ Coach at Louisville High School. Before his stop at Louisville, he served as the Head Varsity Girls’ Coach at North Royalton, Woodridge and Akron East High School. In addition, he teaches middle school Physical Education at Brunswick Middle School.

"I'm excited to be part of the Twinsburg Tiger Family. I want to thank the Twinsburg Administration and Board of Education for allowing me to be Head Coach," offered Esterak. "I'm looking forward to being part of bringing back the tradition of the girls' basketball program. I believe that I'm bringing a great staff with a lot of experience playing and coaching basketball to help with the program. I know through hard work and dedication we will see the results on and off the court."

Joining Esterak are Williams-Millbert and Abbe Esterak. Williams-Millbert has been an Assistant Coach in multiple girls' sports (basketball, soccer, lacrosse) over the past eight years. In addition, she has coached high school girls’ basketball at Mayfield, Valley Forge, Trinity, and Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High Schools.

"I am very excited to bring my knowledge and experience to the Twinsburg program," Williams-Millbert said. "I am looking forward to not only bringing what I have to offer but learning and growing with the team as well. I feel like this is a great opportunity for all involved to innovate, motivate and have some fun in the process."

Abbe Esterak has high school girls' basketball coaching experience at Louisville, North Royalton and Woodridge. She currently holds the record as the all-time leading scorer in Woodridge High School girls' basketball history.

"We are thrilled with the addition of three fine coaches to our Girls' Basketball Program at Twinsburg High School," offered Twinsburg Superintendent Kathi Powers. "We are looking forward to seeing the new heights that Coach Esterak and his staff will take the program."
