We’d like to welcome our new Supervisor of Maintenance & Custodial Plant Services, Mr. John Sommers. Mr. Sommers’ contract was approved by the Twinsburg Board of Education on April 21, 2021.
Mr. Sommers earned his Bachelors degree in Business Management from Hiram College. He holds a School Business Managers license and is a Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Instructor. He also holds a credential as a Stationary Steam Engineer from the State of Ohio, an Ohio Pesticide Applicators license from the Ohio Department of Agriculture, an Asbestos Hazard Evaluation Specialist credential from the State of Ohio and he is a trained A.L.IC.E. Instructor.
Mr. Sommers was most recently employed by the Bedford City School District as the Supervisor of Buildings, Grounds, Facilities, & Security. Prior to joining Bedford, Mr. Sommers was a Custodial Supervisor for the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District. He started his career in the maintenance area with the Ravenna City Schools. Mr. Simmers is an active member of OASBO as well as having memberships in a vast array of civic and professional organizations.
