Congratulations Jennings Teacher Award Nominees!
Each year, the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation invites educators to nominate colleagues for the Jennings Teacher Awards.  The Teacher Awards are for public school teachers who have earned deep respect from students and colleagues, remain intellectually active, demonstrate leadership in the field, and serve as a model of excellence for the teaching profession. Each award is for $7,500 and benefits students in the recognized teachers' classrooms, schools, and/or districts.

This year, we are Tiger Proud to introduce the Jennings Teacher Award nominees from our school district:
  • Nora Suder-Riley:  Arthur S. Holden Teacher Award for Excellence in Science Education
o     This award honors the Foundation's founder. The award will fund a deep
                 learning science project.
  • Joslyn Rohwedder:  George B. Chapman, Jr. Teacher Award for Excellence in Mathematics Education
o     This award honors the Foundation's past Chairman. The award will fund a
                  deep learning mathematics project.
  • Lynnette Jimenez:  Master Teacher Award
o    This award will fund a deep learning project.
Mrs. Suder-Riley, Mrs. Rohwedder, and Dr. Jimenez have submitted proposals for deep learning projects that will benefit our students.  We look forward to hearing the announcement of the awards from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation later this summer.

Congratulations and best wishes to our wonderful colleagues!
