The Twinsburg City School District is in search for amazing typical peer models for the Integrated Preschool Program (IPP) as well as ‘young investigators’ to join our project-based, Kindergarten Preparatory Program (KPP)! Both programs are 5-Star, Step Up To Quality rated programs by the Ohio Department of Education and provide high quality, preschool options to families of the Twinsburg community.
Selecting and enrolling strong typically developing peer models for the Integrated Preschool Program (IPP) will be a priority for the Twinsburg City School District. Typical peer models are selected through a lottery system and invited to attend a virtual screening. Additional criteria will be required when choosing applicants include the following: 1. Child will be at least 3 years old by August 1st of the applying school year, 2. Child will be toilet trained by the first day of school, (no pull-ups and independent with clothing, wiping, and hand washing), 3. Child speaks English as their primary language of communication, 4. Child does not have an identified disability that would qualify them as a student with special needs. The IPP is a 4-half day a week program with sessions in the morning or afternoon. Each class serves approximately 16 students and is housed at Wilcox Primary School with a lead teacher and classroom assistant. IPP peer tuition is currently $1500 for the school year.
The Kindergarten Preparatory Program (KPP) is for students who are at least 4 years old by August 1 and not enrolling in kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year. The KPP is a 5-half day a week program with sessions in the morning or afternoon. Each class serves approximately 16 students and is housed at Wilcox Primary School with a lead teacher and classroom assistant. The program uses project-based learning strategies which encourages developmentally appropriate skills and prepares students for the expectations of tomorrow’s learners. (KPP tuition is currently $1875 for the school year). The KPP offers scholarship opportunities for students based on financial need.
