The Twinsburg City School District, in collaboration with members of the community including Mr. Joe Gregorino and Mrs. Alisha Jones, have established the Twinsburg City School District Memorial Committee.
The mission of the Memorial Committee is to create a Memorial Garden to respectfully honor individuals who have passed away while students or staff members of the District. Memorials from each of the District’s schools will be honored within this special space. The anticipated location for the Memorial Garden Project is on the front grounds at George G. Dodge Intermediate School.
It is the hope of the Memorial Committee to have a sculpture placed in the Memorial Garden. Twinsburg City School District staff members and TCSD students in grades six through twelve are invited to share their artistic talents with the community through a submission of a sculpture design plan and sketch.
The Twinsburg City School District Memorial Committee and the District’s Visual Arts staff will accept sculpture design submissions until Friday, January 24, 2020. Interested persons may obtain a copy of the sketch design requirements in the main office at George G. Dodge Intermediate School, RB Chamberlin Middle School or Twinsburg High School or by contacting Emily Yambor at
[email protected]. Submissions should be forwarded to Mrs. Yambor at George G. Dodge Intermediate School or to any member of the Visual Arts teaching staff by January 24, 2020.
