Wednesday’s Board of Education Meeting was outstanding as we recognized our Students of the Month from Samuel Bissell Elementary School and RB Chamberlin Middle School.
Students from Samuel Bissell Elementary School and School Counselor Mr. Matt Hoffmann also shared details about the “Start with Hello Week” activities they participated in last week. In how many languages can you say “Hello”? Our Bissell Tigers know quite a few!
Following the student presentations, our Curriculum Director Mrs. Jennifer Farthing provided a summary of the 2018/2019 Local Report Card. Then, Mrs. Lauren Pfenning, our District’s Blended Learning Coach, gave an update about our exciting Blended Learning initiative at Wilcox, Bissell and Dodge.
And, Ms. Brandy Correia, Dodge Makerspace Teacher, and Mrs. Beth Mariola, Supervisor of Innovative Programs, shared details about our District’s Makerspaces and Makerspace activities. We are Tiger Proud of our students and staff and so excited about all of the innovative practices happening in our classrooms!
