Wilcox Primary School Named a 2018 OAESA Hall of Fame School
The Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) announced that Wilcox Primary School has been selected as a 2018 Hall of Fame School. The Hall of Fame School Award recognizes schools that engage faculty, students and the community to provide a quality school experience.

“Wilcox Primary School is a child-centered place where administrators, staff members, parents, and community partners collaborate so that all students can reach their potential. The Twinsburg Board of Education and I wish to commend the entire Wilcox Primary School family for achieving this prestigious designation,” said Superintendent Kathryn Powers.  The Wilcox Primary School leadership and staff will be formally recognized by the OAESA at the May 2nd meeting of the Twinsburg Board of Education.

Wilcox Primary School staff submitted an extensive application documenting the effectiveness of their educational program in several areas. Hall of Fame Schools were chosen by two committees of OAESA members; one of which read and scored the applications and the other that conducted on-site evaluations of qualifying schools.

“The staff at Wilcox is invested in every student, making it a collaborative environment that is accepting of all students,” committee members wrote in their evaluations of Wilcox Primary School.

OAESA will recognize winners of the Hall of Fame Award during an awards luncheon to be held June 15, 2018, at the Hilton Columbus at Easton. Principal Lynn Villa will be presented with the award, including $1,000, to be used at her discretion for the school.

“Wilcox Primary School is proud to receive the designation as a 2018 OAESA Hall of Fame School.  The process began last November when we first received notification that we were nominated for the award. This was truly a commitment to working together with our staff, parents, and community completing the application process in January. We were so proud to become a finalist - this is a great honor for everyone involved in educating Twinsburg's youngest students,” said Lynn Villa, Wilcox Primary School Principal.

Located in Columbus, the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators serves Ohio’s pre-K, elementary, middle level, and central office administrators by providing professional development, legal consultation, professional publications and networking opportunities.
