Members of our Twinsburg High School Concert Band and Orchestra recently traveled to Walt Disney World for performances and a shared clinic/recording session in the parks! The Band and Orchestra left THS on Wednesday, March 22nd and returned home on March 27th. Our students had an opportunity to spend time in multiple parks including the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, the Animal Kingdom, and Disney Hollywood studios!
The Band and Orchestra worked together as one large ensemble to rehearse and perform “Stampede” from the Lion King andgot to record our version alongside the visuals from the animated movie. The Band and Orchestra students also performed separately at the Marketplace Stage in Disney Springs on March 24th.
Our students had a great time, performed well, and represented our instrumental music programs with class throughout the trip! Special thanks to Mr. Ryan Bonitz, Mr. Damon Conn, the Twinsburg Band Boosters and the Twinsburg Orchestra Boosters for helping to make this “once in a lifetime” experience a reality for our Tigers!
