TWINSBURG CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT 2012/2013
DISTRICT GOALS
1.
FINANCIAL
To implement the Operational Change Plan for FY 13 that is a combination of expenditure reductions and revenue increases which include the passage of the new and renewal levies in order to maintain fiscal stability through FY 16.
2.
CURRICULUM
The Twinsburg City School District will maintain high academic standards to attain "A" status as measured by the 2012/2013 State of Ohio District Report Card. Implementation of the rigorous standards and student performance assessments will define student achievement, student growth and gap closing to ensure college and career-ready graduates.
3.
TECHNOLOGY
During the 2012/2013 school year, develop a district-wide plan with a specific timeline to implement a wireless enterprise solution for student learning, high quality professional development, instruction and state assessments.
4.
SAFETY
By December 2012, complete an audit of our buildings' security and operations. Updated findings will be analyzed and changes made in order to evaluate the District's disaster management readiness and to be able to implement safety simulations during the second semester of the 2012/2013 school year.
5.
COMMUNICATION
To implement a comprehensive communication plan using a variety of formats including both print and social media in order to be able to share and receive pertinent information between stakeholders in a consistent, transparent and timely manner.
6.
HIGH QUALITY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Twinsburg City School District will continue to provide staff members with high quality professional development that is defined through the analysis of data and that is sustainable and purposeful in order to have short and long term impact on professional practice and student growth.
