Twinsburg High School - Grades 9 - 12 Students who attend the Twinsburg City Schools are provided an excellent educational program which prepares them for success as they graduate from Twinsburg High School and begin college or a career. The District is committed to providing our students with a wide range of programs and services which not only meet their needs, but also challenge them to excel. 21st century skills including the use of technology to enhance learning are integrated in our curriculum.
This year brings many changes to the Twinsburg City School District, many of which are driven by the education reform initiatives underway in Ohio. One of these initiatives is the adoption of the New Learning Standards. The New Learning Standards will ensure that teachers teach and students learn the knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow including communication skills, perseverance in problem solving, technical reading and writing, literacy across disciplines and the most important mathematical skills.
In addition to classroom studies, students are encouraged to participate in community service, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Through these types of activities, students learn specific skills while also developing responsibility and sportsmanship. Individual students as well as student groups have received state and national recognition in the areas of fine arts, band, orchestra, the RBC Singers and the Great Expectations Show Chair. As members of the Northeast Ohio Conference, our student athletes continue to win numerous league championships and compete successfully at state competitions. Our Lady Tigers Girls' Basketball Team is the reigning state champions for the second consecutive year.
The Twinsburg City School District is grateful for the ongoing support of our community. Parents and community members are partners with the school staff. The Academic, Athletic, Band, Orchestra and Vocal Music Boosters along with our Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO’s) offer ongoing support and encouragement to our students.
Residents of Twinsburg, Twinsburg Township and Reminderville value the Twinsburg City School District and the excellent opportunities provided to our students. We are proud of our school district " ... Where Schools and Communities are One."
