Yes. If you need to pick up your child during the school day, or at dismissal, please send a note with your child giving his/her name, teacher name, time you will be picking up and who will be picking up the child. This ensures your child’s safety.
For pick up during the school day, you will need to come through the front doors to the office.
For after school pickup, park on the playground parking lot and enter through the back doors. You will need to sign your child out in the library starting at 2:50pm. |

Q |
When will I know my child's teacher? |
 |
A |
Teacher assignments for kindergarten are determined in August after the fall registration. Classroom assignments are made with diversity of sex and ethnicity in mind.
Once assigned, your child’s teacher will send a letter to your student introducing herself and explaining the orientation process. In addition, class lists will be posted on the front windows of the building.
First grade assignments are made on the last Kindergarten report card. |

Q |
When can my child and I visit my classroom? |
 |
A |
Wilcox PTO volunteers schedule building tours prior to the first day of school in August. Times and dates will be posted on the sign out front. We are unable to provide private tours and please be aware that over the summer, while the office may be working, custodians are cleaning and painting to get our building in tiptop shape for the coming school year. |

Q |
How do I know what bus my child will ride? |
 |
A |
Twinsburg City Schools offer bus transportation to every student. For Wilcox students, bus stops are assigned as close to the home as possible. If there are several Wilcox students on one street, a central stop for several homes may be assigned.
The bus stops are posted in a special section of the Twinsburg Bulletin at least one week before school begins. Look for your home address and the “TWWI” for Wilcox.
The bus number and approximate time for morning pick-up will be listed. Drop off time is not listed. Due to the staggered dismissal times of schools in our district, we are unable to predict a drop-off time.
Parents are asked to designate a morning and an afternoon stop for the school year. Any deviations from the assigned stops must be approved in advance by the Transportation Department, which can take several days. Phone requests or notes for daily bus changes can not be accepted by the school office. |

Q |
Can I send in a Birthday treat? |
 |
A |
Celebrating a birthday with friends should be fun and special. Food allergies prevent sending in cake, cupcakes and/or home-baked items. Please consider celebrating a birthday at school with pencils, erasers, stickers, etc. As an alternative, you may wish to join your child at school for lunch and recess. |
