TCS SAFE SCHOOLS TIP LINE 330-486-CALL or 330-486-2255
The SAFE SCHOOLS TIP LINE is intended to give students and parents an easy way to report unsafe situations and to help us work together in this important area. Please spend some time with your student today to share this information. Discuss with them the importance of their help in keeping their school safe. If you have any questions about the Tip Line, please feel free to contact your building principal.
Our staff works to make schools safe and caring places; we encourage students and parents to continue using these normal methods to report concerns to adults at home and in schools. The SAFE SCHOOLS TIP LINE at 330-486-CALL or 330-486-2255 is not to replace this healthy and open communication. Still, we know that when students become aware of unsafe people or situations, it can be very difficult for some to report as they are fearful or feel pressure from others to keep things secret. We want students to help us keep their schools safe, and to break the "code of silence" with respect to matters that can impact the safety of their schools.
If you or your student were to suspect or become aware of any students or adults in a school who are planning or acting in any unsafe way, please let us know. This includes, but is not limited to, the use or possession of drugs, knives, guns, and/or threats to injure, bully, or assault others. You may also leave tips about students going to our schools, but who do not live here. If you or your students are not comfortable talking directly with staff at the school level, use the SAFE SCHOOLS TIP LINE at 330-486-CALL or 330-486-2255. It is a fast, effective, and safe way to let us know about the unsafe situation and not worry about being identified as the source of the information. The SAFE SCHOOLS TIP LINE is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. "Tips" will be referred to school authorities. When a person calls the "TIP LINE" they will hear the following:
"Hello. You have reached the Twinsburg Schools Safety Tip Line. If this is an emergency please hang up and dial 911. The information you are about to share is very important to us. Please speak clearly and slowly as you share your concerns. It is helpful if you include details such as: the date, time, school, place and names of the persons involved. Although you are encouraged to leave your name and contact information, it is not required. Thank you for helping to keep our schools safe." (tone)
After the tone, leave your "Tip" and again, thank you for keeping Twinsburg Schools safe.
