         Coach Plassard's Background
Being a recent college graduate, I was thrilled to find out my first teaching job would be here in Twinsburg. I am teaching Art 1 at the high school and could not be more thrilled! As a recently retired college volleyball player, golf was always my summer sport. Spending August out on the course instead of in the gym is really exciting for me. I graduated in 2015 from Riverside High School in Painesville, Ohio where I played volleyball and basketball. I then moved on to The College of Wooster where I had an amazing 4 years playing volleyball and earning my degree in education. As a freshman in college trying out golf for the first time with my dad, I learned quickly there were many areas I needed growth in as an athlete. Volleyball did not expose a lot of my areas of weakness like golf did. Golf takes a toll on you mentally like no other sport I've played. After considering giving up, I worked hard and got really reflective and vulnerable about my swing and where I needed work. Four years later I am still learning every single day. You will always be a student of the game. That's the great thing about golf! You can play for years and years.  It is never too late to pick up a club, I can attest that everyone needs to at least give it a try. Golf really is a unique game I think everyone can better themselves with.
